Solution Architect – Whizdom Recruitment

Our Large Federal Government client has a requirement for experienced ICT Solution Architect who will be responsible for overseeing the design of multiple capabilities across ETSPO. You will conduct these activities whilst working cohesively and flexibly with related stakeholders to our client.

Major Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Lead the design and communication of high level structures to enable the development of an integrated solution that meets current and future business needs.
• Produce detailed component specifications with unambiguous acceptance criteria and translate these into detailed designs for implementation.
• Undertake research and proof of concepts to determine proposed solutions to meet higher level needs.
• Establish the design and implementation of multiple data pipelines, both internal and to connecting external systems.
• Lead engagement with national and international partners on technical matters through different forums.
• Identify and analyse project level risks and issues, including aggregating sub-project risks to identify project level risks.
• Codification of developed knowledge to enable knowledge transfer to ASD contractors and employees.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in producing design documentation essential.
• Experience in systems integration activities essential.
• Experience in system dataflows essential.

Location: The role is based in Canberra with limited official travel within Australia may be required.

Contract term: 12-24 months

SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5

Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
