The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for the coordination of patient services, unit management and nursing staff management within a patient services/ward unit consistent with the strategic directions of Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

The NUM takes overall responsibility for the health care environment and standard of patient care, the NUM performs as a clinical leader and manager with accountability for culture, quality and safety, patient flow, financial management, change management and the experience of patients in that unit.

The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, ward management and leadership of the professions of nursing and midwifery to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

  • About You

  • You hold current registration with the Australian health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and current unencumbered Australian Driver’s Licence valid for NSW.
  • You have extensive recent post registration clinical experience in Acute Care Nursing and knowledge of current contemporary nursing issues.
  • You possess relevant tertiary qualification sin health management, are working towards such and/or have equivalent work experience and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
