Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager who is passionate about people, cares about your team and excels at building customer relationships. Simply put you have a customer service + people first attitude. You will be someone who takes pride in their work, and enjoys working as part of a team! 

Playing a key role in bringing our vision to life, this role will so assist in ensuring the smooth opening of a new venue, and a consistent delivery of quality service.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring delivery of the highest quality service, product and presentation at all times, and mobilising the workforce to strive for the equivalent in excellence
  • Running the floor during meal periods to ensure that all service standards are met through all guests interactions.
  • Hands-on supervision of all bar/restaurant operations and team members including assisting in rostering and planning
  • Updating wine lists and menus as required in conjunction with the Chef, the Restaurant Manager and the Owners
  • Resolution of guest service issues in regards to service and food quality, ensuring we utilise the opportunity for recovery as a way of leaving a lasting and positive impression
  • Maintenance of staffing levels, appropriate to limiting costs but ensuring excellence in service standards are not compromised

Operating 7 days, this venue will require weekend work – with fair rosters.

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role and fast paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of food and wine
