About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing/Sterilising Technician with Certificate (AINC) to join the team within the Periop Department on a permanent part-time or full-time basis. Immediate start available.  

Mater Private Hospital Redland is an expanding facility with 60 beds, accommodating specialities including obstetrics, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, acute medicine, palliative care, urology, gynaecology, general and breast surgery. The hospital incorporates 2 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy room, 3 birth suites and a busy Day Procedure Unit, and offers award winning nursing services in an idyllic environment.

Salary range: $32.69 – $33.72 (Assistant in Nursing CSSD) per hour plus superannuation & Salary Packaging.

About you

The successful applicant will possess:

  •  Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (mandatory)
  • Relevant experience and knowledge in undertaking Sterile Services reprocessing at an operational level within a Hospital
  • An understanding of a commitment to the Mater Mission, Values and their practical relevance to Sterile Services issues
  • Effective communication skills with staff, customers and service partners and the ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in Risk Management and Continuous Quality Improvement Systems and a commitment to the introduction of Best Practice
  • Experience in Workplace Health and Safety issues in Sterile Services
  • Experience in loan set processing highly advantageous
