What is the role? 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a problem-solver who is motivated by finding innovative ways of working to join our IT team as a Senior Desktop & Support officer. This role encourages you to be hands-on while operating different technologies to support and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Helpdesk/EUC processes. 

You will be working as part of a tight-knit team, providing support to over 500 head office users in Adelaide, plus additional remote support to users throughout Australia. 

Utilising your previous experience working in a similar customer focused role you will support internal users across a variety of standard and unique desktop applications, deployed on a variety of hardware platforms and configurations.

What are the responsibilities of the role? 

• Management of IT Incidents, Service Requests and Tasks in an ITSM tool 
• Provide software and hardware support to end-users remotely and desk-side 
• Support and contribute to the continuous improvement of Helpdesk/EUC processes 
• Assist with the development of the SOE and deployment of applications to laptop and desktop computers 
• Update and maintain CMDB 
• Develop and manage Change Management requests 
• Relocation of ICT assets when required 

What skills does our ideal candidate have? 

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent industry experience 
•  3 – 5 years’ experience in an EUC/HelpDesk or ICT Support role 
• Windows Desktop platform (Build, update, distribution) – Think SCCM, Group Policy, MDT etc. 
• Experience with AirWatch and Microsoft In-Tune 
• Understanding of Windows 10 Feature updates and deployment best practices 
• Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, Security Groups, Share permissions and Group Policy 
• Understanding of Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams 
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP. FTP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Sub-netting and patching
