The opportunity

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have multiple exciting positions available for APS5 level Content Writers to join the team.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS 6 level role offering hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of their Richmond or Geelong office.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. work weeks, with work days.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching, drafting and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards.
  • Interpreting the policy and legislative environment the branch operates in.
  • Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback.
  • Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
  • Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch.
  • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
  • Skills required?

  • Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
    Experience as a content writer and designer with a focus on user-centered services and products
  • Demonstrated understanding of content design, including accessibility, inclusivity, readability, information architecture, content types and models
  • Experience collaborating across a multidisciplinary team
  • An understanding of user stories, prototypes and journey maps
  • The ability to work productively with subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Abilities to adapt to change and pivots in priority
