Description

Practice Leader – Data and Analytics role covers Statistical Analysis, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Optimising Operations, Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics, Data Visualisation, Data Management, Coding Best Practice.

The PL is required to partner with other PLs in their Market, both in Australia and New Zealand, and working with the Technical Delivery Leader – Water, to share materials, approaches, best practice, and consistency where possible so to allow the business to operate as a homogeneous ANZ business.

This role can also be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or Canberra.

Specifically, your duties will include:

Reporting to the Market Leader – Digital Services, Water Australia (ML), the Practice Leader (PL) is responsible for:

  • Developing strategic business opportunities to shape the BC.

  • Supporting the ML in strategic pursuits.

  • Technical excellence of the Practice they represent through project delivery.

  • Ensuring technical delivery consistency within their market.

  • Develop and share Data & Analytics best practices across the Water Australia group.

  • Identifying technical leaders within the BC who operate within their Practice.

  • Overseeing their practice Knowledge Community.

  • Supporting various leadership roles within the BC to deliver technical excellence for our clients.

  • Communicate and learn from the Digital Practice, and other global digital groups around Data & Analytics best practices and implement in Water Australia

  • Communicate regularly and proactively with all members of the Regional Digital Practice. In particular, keep other Business Line Digital Practice and Data & Analytics team leads abreast of your strategy, projects, products, progress and resource needs.

  • Create an inspiring practice environment with an open communication culture; contributing to a sense of community, fun and team spirit.

  • Set and advise on Data & Analytics Practice goals that align with the Digital Service Lead, Water, the wider Water group, and Regional Digital Practice strategies

  • Liaise with vendors to ensure Water Australia has the solutions and support they need

So, what do you need to bring to take your career to the next level?

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably post-graduate (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science)

  • Nominally 15 years of related work, technical leadership, and consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Professional registration in a related field.

  • Technical skills including Statistical analysis and computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Processing large data sets, Data Visualization, Data Wrangling, Mathematics.

  • Programming languages such as Python, R, SQL,

  • Great communication, problem solving, collaboration, client liaison, business development
