Transport Modeller / Data Scientist – Brisbane

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for technical Transport Modellers and Data Scientists to join our growing Queensland Planning and Mobility Business (We have offices at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane). 

You will be working as part of our Planning and Mobility team which spans our transport infrastructure and advisory businesses both regionally and nationally. While we are a large global business, we aren’t tied down by bureaucracy. We strive to give our people the freedom and flexibility to make their own decisions, whether this is in their daily work or for progressing their career. You will be committed to technical excellence delivering successful projects for our clients (internal and external). You will be expected to contribute to a culture of learning and development in transport modelling and analytics. You will be supported to develop your own industry profile and look to build collaborative client and colleague relationships. You will work closely with our digital and data analytics teams to create innovative solutions for our clients.

To be successful in this role you will bring;

• Typically, 3 to 6 years of experience but this is flexible.
• Experienced in operational and / or strategic modelling (AIMSUN, VISSIM, EMME, CUBE, TransCAD, VISUM) with some competence in Python scripting.
• Knowledge of GIS and data visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau) would be considered a bonus
• Strategic modelling expertise would be considered a bonus
• Passionate about building the capability of others via monitoring/coaching and on the job learning opportunities. 
• Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics / Data science / Civil Engineering) or Equivalent
• A tertiary degree would be considered a bonus
