The Opportunity

An opportunity to join our antibody discovery team, and play an integral role in conducting research and development on therapeutic antibody discovery projects.  In this hands-on laboratory based role, you will experience state of the art antibody discovery platforms and work with a passionate team, in a supportive and collaborative environment.

How You’ll Spend your Day

Hands-on laboratory-based role within the Antibody Engineering Team in Therapeutic antibody R&D with a focus on antibody generation, characterization and optimization, including following:

  • Sequence analysis
  • Design and identification of improved antibodies (humanization, affinity maturation, liabilities removal and etc.)
  • Molecular biology including PCR, subcloning, mutagenesis, transfections
  • High-throughput antibody screening using various affinity assays
  • Antibody purification
  • Antibody characterization using analytical methods
  • Advance novel approaches to accelerate discovery campaigns and continuously improve the resulting panels of leads
  • Record keeping and maintaining detailed, accurate laboratory notebooks

Your Experience And Qualifications

 

  • Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry/ molecular biology/ structural biology or related life sciences discipline with at least 2 years of either postdoctoral or industry experience
  • Strong background in molecular biology techniques with experience in PCRs, cloning, plasmid preparation
  • Experience of recombinant antibody expression and purifications
  • Screening of antibodies employing either Surface Plasmon Resonance, Flow Cytometry, ELISA and/or Time-Resolved Fluorescence assays
  • Understanding of immunogenicity assessment of antibodies is advantageous
  • Ability to conceive and design experiments independently, develop screening assays, optimize protocols, and interpret experimental results
  • Ability to learn and embrace new technologies, work simultaneously on multiple projects, organize data and communicate outcomes to the team
  • Comfortable using laboratory automation
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, a can-do attitude
