THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Manager of Exploration and Geology, the Principal Resource Geologist is responsible for providing technical expertise to support group Mineral Resource estimation and geology-based strategic decision-making that both increases and de-risks resources.

This is a permanent full-time position which on a 5:2 roster based at West Perth office.  

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Completing projects as assigned, including geological interpretation, wireframing/3D modeling, and targeting.
  • Collaboration with the mine planning team to design, implement and schedule RC grade control drilling programs.
  • Timely geological modeling of lithological data and sample data results.
  • Collaborate with site geology teams to support grade control and resource definition drilling programs.
  • Working closely with the Mine Geology team providing accurate GC model estimates for short and medium-term planning.
  • Undertake Mineral Resource modeling and technical reporting.
  • Advanced ore-type resource modeling utilising Pilbara Minerals developed ore classification technology.
  • Maintain high levels of data capture accuracy and bolster site geology databases via analysis, audits, and implementing improvements when possible

ABOUT YOU:

  • BSc degree or MSc in Geological/Geosciences.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Geostatistics is highly regarded.
  • Current WA C-class manual driver’s license.
