The Role:

The main focus of this role will be to manage the administration, commercial and financial functions of projects and to oversee project cost reporting, letting and financial administration.  If you take pride in contributing towards the success of major projects and have a keen interest in sharing knowledge and gaining knowledge, we would love to hear from you now.   
 
Key Duties & Responsibilities:   

  • Engage, coordinate and manage trades
  • Communicate and negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Dispute/issue resolution as required
  • Work closely with estimators, supervisors and team
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the head contract
  • Assist in organising contracts, processing quotes and updating variations
  • Establish, maintain and control an effective cost control and reporting system
  • Prepare monthly progress claims to the client
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts and payroll information
  • Administer projects to ensure a timely and efficient completion of the head contract and subcontracts
  • Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from building surveyor and all relevant documentation is signed off

 
Key Selection Criteria:  

  • Experience in a Contracts Administrator position or similar.
  • Experience preferred in Residential, Educational, Retail and Industrial 
  • Regional work experience desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a professional phone manner
  • Ability to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly computer literate including Microsoft Excel, Projects, Bluebeam, CAD, Reddit, PowerPoint and Outlook

This role is a 12-month contract. That said, we always endeavour to develop and retain talent within our business.  A review will take place at the 9-month mark to discuss ongoing permanent opportunities.
