We are looking for a Security Monitoring Analyst to join our Security team!

The Security team provides security capabilities and consultancy that enable the entire organisation to be successful in a safe and secure way.

This role is responsible for monitoring the Bank’s cyber security environment across Australia region and to work as part of a collaborative team to manage the end-to-end application security process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigating and responding to security queries and escalations from internal and external sources, including managing the events from detection to classification as an incident, and through to closure;
  • Providing pragmatic security advice through the system development lifecycle, making security an integral part of the Agile lifecycle
  • Threat modelling, identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats
  • Working closely with Tech teams to ensure that system vulnerabilities and weaknesses are identified and tracked to closure;
  • Working with ING Global Security team as local virtual team member;
  • Manage and articulate a task independently with minor supervision;
  • Manage Security Monitoring related backlogs and priorities effectively according to department/organisation goals.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with the security technologies
  • Vulnerability & compliance scanning tools
  • Server Operating Systems (Windows / Linux) and network technologies (switches, firewall, proxy servers)
  • Security Information and Event Management Systems
  • Password and Privileged Access Management systems
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • 2-3 years IT security experience
  • Self-motivated “can do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills – ability to form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
