Community Fundraising Manager – Perth WA, fulltime

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate fundraiser to join Melanoma Institute Australia’s (MIA’s) Perth team. MIA is the world’s largest treatment and research centre with a single focus on melanoma. We are an independent, non-profit organisation and our mission is to reach zero deaths from melanoma this decade.

Our Community & Engagement team is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Community Fundraising Manager who is driven by the desire to help fuel ground-breaking research, clinical and education programs, and in doing so, make a real difference to the lives of others. Our Community Fundraisers are critical to fuelling MIA’s ongoing work, and this role represents an opportunity to play a proactive role in addressing one of Australia’s most critical health issues.

The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for managing MIA’s national Community Fundraising program. The position is the primary point of contact for all our passionate community fundraisers, with responsibility including providing assistance in utilising MIA’s Community Fundraising Portal to maximise the success of their events.

This position also plays an active role in supporting the events and activities run by MIA’s WA team, including our annual Melanoma March events in WA, our annual Ball in Perth, and other community events.

The successful candidate will love engaging with communities across Australia, and will gain immense satisfaction from seeing their fundraising events come to life. Experience with use of the Salesforce platform is desirable, as is previous experience in a NFP and working with events and/or in fundraising.

This is a fulltime position, based at MIA’s WA office in Cottesloe. Candidates preferring a part-time position are also encouraged to apply. There is potential for some work-from-home component. The position will work closely with MIA’s WA Partnerships & Events Manager, as well as other members of our national Community & Engagement team.

There is also the opportunity to participate in salary packaging arrangements that are offered to employees in the not-for-profit sector.
