We’re looking for a Compliance Product Manager to join the ReadyTech Education business. In this role, you will ensure that our student management systems continue to deliver timely industry-leading compliance solutions for our clients – from Vocational Education Training (VET) to Higher Education providers.  
  
As a key member of the product team, you will be a thought leader in Education compliance and our internal subject matter expert on National and State regulatory compliance obligations across all Education sectors.  
  
If you were here last week you might have:  

  • Facilitated the execution of the Compliance product roadmap, by collaborating with internal stakeholders and working closely with Design/Engineering to produce intuitive products that are widely adopted by clients.  
  • Shared industry insights, developments and knowledge via the REPS committee and product forums that lead to improved product compliance  
  • Lead VET Data Streamlining initiative – executing changes to current VET data collection processes and delivering a real-time API data exchange solution  
  • Participated in user research, client discovery workshops, gathered requirements and identied opportunities for innovation  
  • Anticipated implementation challenges, and consulted relevant stakeholders to identify risks and tradeoffs and justify a path forward  
  • Executed on the product roadmap, collaborating with the Engineering team to design and deliver features – and then own their adoption by clients  
  • Communicated key decisions, milestones and deliverables, roadblocks or changes to relevant stakeholders 

More about you  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to form strong internal and external relationships and to influence 
  • Strong problem-solving ability- turning complex problems into simple, engaging solutions for clients 
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment 
  • Ability to work independently given some scope & direction 
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and collaborate with the Engineering team to groom the backlog 
  • Project management skills – ability to prioritise, set project plans and execute in an agile framework 
  • Ensure release processes are followed (e.g., UAT complete, Release notes written, internal stakeholders briefed) 
  • Knowledge of: Software Development Life Cycle management, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and Atlassian Jira and Confluence software 
  • 2+ years working within a SaaS business 
  • Knowledge and experience within the Education sector in a compliance-related role (Vocational Education experience preferred)
