About the role

This Marketing Specialist role, sits within the RSL Art Union powerhouse that is responsible for Australia’s biggest Prize Home Lottery! Joining a talented, driven and collaborative team of marketers, this position will focus on commercial acquisition, working in partnership with the Marketing Manager – Commercial Acquisition, to maximise revenue growth efficiently.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Agency management- using your creative flair and working with our contracted media, creative and PR agencies to bring to life the marketing strategy for each campaign on time and within budget
  • Production management– managing the creative production requirements for campaign and PR activity driving awareness of our brand and our prize offering
  • Selling the dream- Working with our internal stakeholders and PR agency you will develop and execute an always-on PR plan to use our properties and previous winners to promote the current campaign and keep RSL Art Union top of mind with our audiences
  • Data mindset– We are commercial for a cause and everything we do needs to drive revenue for our veterans. You will need to be comfortable interpreting data in excel or using tools like Power BI to analyse campaign performance and support decision making
  • Team work- Building and nurturing a peer network of trusted partnerships both internally and externally with partners contributing to the primary objective of maximising revenue growth efficiently
  • Regulatory compliance– Responsible for ensuring that assigned acquisition PR activity complies with internal policies and procedures including data security, legal and compliance and brand

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, who is driven and enjoys a collaborative approach. There are a vast and varied number of priorities so we need someone who is organised, has good attention to detail and time management skills. This role also requires:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing/PR or closely related field
  • 3-4 years’ experience managing marketing acquisition campaigns for a consumer organisation that meet budget and time constraints and hit revenue KPIs consistently
  • Proven ability to manage an agency to develop and execute effective PR campaigns with accountability of implementation from ideation to execution
  • Strategic and analytical orientation, with a proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on data insights
  • Proven track record of successful integrated marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work autonomously
