The University is deeply embedded in the community and the region we serve, which is Australia’s fastest growing economy and one of the most culturally diverse areas in Australia.About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity for a senior professional to provide high-level executive management support to the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost (SDVCP) and oversee a broad range of complex activities across the Divisions portfolio, which includes:Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous LeadershipOffice of the General CounselOffice of the University Secretary12 Academic SchoolsThe Whitlam Institute Campus ProvostsThe CollegeAs the principal aide to the SDVCP, you will provide valuable and insightful advice on a range of issues and strategic initiatives as well as oversee the coordination of all functions, activities, and day-to-day operations of the Office. You will play a significant role in managing internal and external executive relations and support the leadership teams on strategic, operational and governance matters. You will oversee projects, provide strategy and policy advice on Government, sector and institutional issues, and provide high-level, complex reports, submissions and briefings. You will be expected to keep abreast of significant, relevant policy developments and issues, as well as understand current and emerging trends in technology and innovation, especially as they relate to a customer and student experience program. About YouYou will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive experience in supporting senior executive leadership in a large, complex environment. You will have strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to employ critical thinking to find innovative solutions to complex issues. You will have highly developed analytical skills with experience in conducting complex research and reviews and preparing executive level reports and strategic recommendations. You will use your advanced communication, influencing and negotiation skills to cultivate stakeholder engagement at all levels and drive a number of key initiatives across the Division.
