About the role

Our Federal Government client is seeking a Web Developer to join their team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administration and support for the day-to-day operations of the web channels following procedures, Government standards and accessibility requirements and to professional industry standards.
• Provide technical advice and assistance support to user groups, external contractors and general employees in the design, development, testing, implementation, and enhancement of web channels.
• Manage assigned web project work and provide technical advice in a complex IT environment.
• Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences and seminars.
• Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.

Highly desirable

• Understanding of web design, development and maintenance and a proven ability to apply this to the maintenance of websites and intranets
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with responsive front-end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery
• Knowledge of and proven ability to work within web standards and web accessibility guidelines
• Ability to provide sound and clear technical advice to stakeholders on web related projects
• Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
• Analytical abilities with the ability to obtain accurate conclusions and apply innovative initiatives while contributing to change and business improvement strategies.
