  • HEW 6 $85,588 – $92,428 + 17% Superannuation

The Corporate Events team is responsible for delivering the Vice-Chancellor’s major events program, including VIP visits, public orations, cultural festivals, industry expos and consultation to faculty events. The team also provides professional event support and guidance to other areas within the Customer Experience Service Hub and across the wider University.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project management and delivery of medium risk events as directed by the Manager, Events in accordance with the annual corporate and commercial events calendar.
  • Provide professional event support and advice during the pre-planning of medium risk Faculty and Divisional events, as well as on the ground support during the implementation of these events.
  • Responsible for corporate events data management within the Events Management database including reporting, processes and procedures and identifying and tracking high level corporate events/engagement activity with external stakeholders.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • An undergraduate qualification in event management/public relations or related field and several years’ subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and specialist knowledge, education and/or training.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational and event/project and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level of skills and professionalism (including accuracy and formatting) in documentation development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) including negotiation, presentation and customer relationship building skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, and collaboratively, to achieve project timelines and objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience working with online event management tools and/or a CRM database.
  • Experience working with online web interfaces and web management.
