  • Total Salary ($116,211 – $128,061 )
  • Package up to $143,406 (including superannuation and leave loading)
  • Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

    The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

    With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

    About the Role

    The purpose of this role is to build strategic marketing plans, execute marketing activity and oversee marketing team members to support Gallery visitation and exhibitions. Additionally the role must manage strategic relationships with Gallery partners, seek out, develop and manage promotional partnerships in line with the Gallery’s overall strategy.

    What technical / soft skills you require

  • Marketing tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrates knowledge, understanding and considerable experience in developing marketing strategy, planning, development and implementation of marketing campaigns and creative partnerships which exceed set business objectives.
  • Strong organisational, project and budget management skills to manage complex and time pressured work flows.
  • Strong people-management skills
  • Extensive experiencing in working closely with senior leaders including the use of advanced verbal and written communicating and presenting to a diverse range of stakeholders and group sizes.
