    About the Role:

    We have new opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our team at the Icon Cancer Centre Midland. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of administrative services providing exceptional customer service to all patients, their carers’, other external clients as well as your colleagues. We’re looking for applicants interested in joining us full-time.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Appointment scheduling, including theatre bookings and admission paperwork
  • Patient billing, including Eclipse, DVA, health fund and Medicare transmissions.
  • Managing high volume incoming and outgoing digital mail
  • Assisting in the preparation and smoothing running of consultation sessions
  • Assisting with phone enquiries
  • Diary management/scheduling
  • General administration duties
  • Continually maintenance of patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Accurate data entry in Gentu medical software.
  • Prepare surgical quotations.
  • Surgical bookings
  • Reconcile and close end of day banking.
  • Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders across healthcare settings including public and private health facilities and associated professional groups.
  • Skills & Experience:

  • Desirable:

  • Experience with Gentu software
  • Experience working in private practice
  • A good understanding of Medicare, Health Funds and medical terminology
  • Experience in surgical services highly advantageous
