  • Cater Care Retail seeks to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our team at the Sunshine Coast Airport. We currently operate 5 busy food and beverage outlets and are looking to increase our team. We pride ourselves on working with local suppliers to help bring that coastal feeling & scene of place to the Airport & are looking for a great team of people to help bring that feeling alive !

    As the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the food & beverage outlets located at the Sunshine Coast Airport and will take a hands-on approach working alongside the team.You will be confident in leading a team of hospitality professionals each shift to ensure the best customer experience every time.

    The Duty Manager role will suit the type of person who thrives on good old-fashioned customer service, who leads by example and can manage and build a cohesive team. 

    In this position, you will:

  • Provide clear direction to a staff on shift 
  • Ensure food & service standards are to a high quality
  • Manage staff operations including filling shifts & labour management
  • Manage stock, inventory and cash
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Communicate and work alongside the management team to ensure a great working environment 
  • Your roster is prepared over 7 days with a mix of open and closing shifts including week days, weekends, nights and public holidays, however we aim to ensure you will have flexibility and balance. 

    Who we are looking for:

  • Previous supervisory experience (minimum 1 year) is essential
  • Ability to supervise staff and show exceptional leadership skills
  • Cash, stock and labour control skills
  • Ability to work across the entire week, including weekends and nights
  • Honesty and reliability
  • All staff must be able to show vaccination status in line with the QLD Health Directive for airport workers to be double vaccinated.
  • All staff working in airports must wear a face mask at all times in line with QLD Health Directive.
  • All staff working in airports must be successful in obtaining an ASIC security card (completed at contract award)
