Job Description

Our client is an established and progressive leader in the Printing Industry and is owned by the largest ink manufacturer globally.

We have a position available for a Production, Warehouse & Quality Control Operative, based at our site in Heatherton.

You will be responsible for a range of various tasks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure conformance to product specification through correct raw material selection, weighing, mixing, milling & potting and quality control.
  • Pick correct batches for manufacture as designated by production order.
  • Ensure products are correctly labelled.
  • To operate to the procedures set down in the company’s health and safety manual and to ensure all customers, contractors and visitors on site are aware of and comply with health and safety policies.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Receiving goods into the warehouse and storing goods in accordance with company procedures.
  • Receiving goods into SAP.
  • Picking/packing goods for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers as required.
  • Completion of paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conducting regular and accurate cycle counts and participate in scheduled stocktake counts.
  • Comply with requirements of WHS legislation and all internal WHS policies and procedures.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for process control activities.
  • Carry out Quality Control activities as required.
  • Providing in-plant cover at customer sites as and when required.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, have a hands-on approach and possess the following skills/qualifications:

  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Working knowledge of SAP is ideal, however we can train you in this area
  • Knowledge of and experience within a Stores environment is advantageous
  • A minimum of 12 months’ work experience in a similar role is an advantage for this position.
