Senior Clinical Care Manager (rn)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Manager to join the team at a large aged care facility in Ashburton. As the Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and support provided to residents, while ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing the care and support provided to residents, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing are maintained.
• Developing and implementing care plans in consultation with residents and their families.
• Recruiting, training and supervising care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide quality care.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, their families and the wider community.
• Commitment to quality and a broad knowledge of all aspects of contemporary aged care including AN-ACC funding and Accreditation.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Current APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse 
• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a large aged care facility.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team.
• Covid- 19/Flu vaccinations.
• Current police check
• Understanding of the current age care accreditation standards 
• Extensive SIRS experience 

Desirable Criteria:

• Working knowledge of AN-ACC 
• Demonstrated business communication and analysis capability 
• Postgraduate Degree /Post Graduate course in gerontology, dementia, social sciences. 
• IPC qualification or willing to undertake
