JOB DESCRIPTION
A career in our Indirect Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes. You’ll support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as comprehensive restructuring and reporting value added tax projects.

About the Opportunity
Within the Tax Reporting & Innovation team, you’ll find yourself in a culture that values teamwork and collaboration. Alongside your peers, you’ll work on transformation, design and delivery of large ERP projects to solve our clients’ problems. You’ll use your skills in analytical thinking, process analysis, report writing and project management methodologies to make a meaningful impact for our clients and the firm. This will include giving you exposure to working within large ERP systems  across different teams to collaboratively deliver indirect tax solutions.

As a Technology Consultant in Financial Advisory team, your impact will be seen through: 

  • Deploying, configuring and maintaining complex cloud based applications based on business specifications defined by PwC and our clients

  • Triaging, prioritization and resolution of queries post-implementation related to cloud based applications

  • Analysing use cases / user stories / business requirements / design documents for validity and feasibility from an application perspective

  • Working across different technologies, including the latest machine learning and AI based applications

 

About You

You have a background in analysing, testing and triaging in both an application and service environment. 

You have experience working in agile environments in a large corporation and providing technology consulting services to clients and internal stakeholders. 

You are skilled in relational databases (such as SQL Server) and can write intermediate SQL queries, are familiar with the configuration and management of web servers (such as IIS) and other network components, and have experience with large ERPs such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft.
