About the Role

We are now looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our internal HR team and drive agile and best-practice HR processes throughout the organisation. This is a great opportunity to build this role with a view to manage the HR Department for the organisation. The key day to day duties will involve:

• Providing best practice, current and commercial advice to the General Managers and COO
• Providing user-friendly and consumable interpretation of the Fair Work Act, Awards, National Employment Standards, internal policies and procedures 
• Providing generalist HR support across the employee life cycle including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and offboarding
• Partnering with senior managers to understand and advise on HR needs 
• Preparing employee contracts and variations, maintaining confidential employee records
• HRIS administration (ELMO), and ensuring all employee records are maintained and up to date at all times
• Maintaining a high standard of HR and ER knowledge to up skill and coach line managers

About You

As the successful candidate you will come with demonstrated experience in Human Resources and possess a strong commercial acumen that allows you to understand business requirements. In addition, you will bring to the table: 

• Hands-on approach with a genuine likeability and confidence to communicate with diverse stakeholders 
• Proven ability to successfully manage employee’s scenarios
• Commercial acumen and understanding of business needs
• Good working knowledge of relevant industrial instruments including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
• Strong time-management skills with the autonomy to balance competing priorities 
• Experience with internal HRIS (ideally ELMO or similar) 
• A strong knowledge or experience in the healthcare sector (ideal but not essential)
• Willingness to grow, learn and develop
