About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Manager Workplace Relations & HR Business Partnering, you will act as a trusted partner to the business providing strategic, operational and tactical people management advice to leaders enabling them to create a high-performance workforce and culture that can deliver on Seqwater’s business priorities.

Working collaboratively across the People and Culture team and taking an evidence-based approach, you will provide HR/IR strategies and solutions that address current and future business challenges as well as providing immediate responses to acute challenges.

With a generalist remit your focus areas may include, but aren’t limited to, human capital management, performance management, leadership, talent management, strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, industrial relations, reward and recognition.

This role is responsible for:

  • Partnering with leaders to provide timely, practical and pragmatic advice on people related matters to improve performance, support change implementation, manage business risk, assist in decision making and support the achievement of short term and strategic outcomes.
  • Develop workforce strategies to support and enable delivery of current and future business priorities.
  • Improve business performance and outcomes through the delivery of contemporary HR/IR initiatives in areas such as: workforce planning, leadership and development, change management, culture and engagement, performance management, diversity, talent management organisational design and reform, reward and recognition.
  • Provide complex HR/IR case management support to leaders ensuring good practice approaches and effective risk management.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, internal and external to the business, to optimise workforce management outcomes.
  • Coach leaders for performance, engagement and through change, to empower solution-focused problem-solving and positive people outcomes for teams, groups, and the organisation more broadly.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree level qualification in Human Resource Management or similar.
  • Post graduate qualifications in business, psychology or other human resource related areas would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Business Partner and HR Advisory role.
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports.
  • Significant experience coaching and partnering with senior leaders on strategic and operational HR/IR matters in a complex and changing organisational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex HR/IR projects involving the implementation of change and improvements in human resource related strategy and systems to achieve a structured approach that manages risks and delivers on time, cost and quality.
  • Experience leading and mentoring team members to assist in developing their business, human resource and consulting skills while delivering services to achieve business outcomes.

This position will be offered as an individual TFR contract with an attractive salary.
