This company is a well-respected residential builder constructing over 2000 homes each year from apartments to townhouses. Since 2013 the company has grown to be an industry leading construction group across Australia delivering high end projects with 70 years combined design experience. They have high profile clients such as Lendlease, Stockland, Urbex and Frasers Property.

The role

Your role will require you to have proven Contract Administrative skills as you will be working on a $10 million development in Hawthorn, which includes 8 high end townhouses.

  • Plan take off’s, Scope of works for Short Forms and Purchase Orders
  • Communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders and building long lasting relationships
  • Develop and implement new systems to streamline current processes
  • Creating purchase order agreements and preparing short-form
  • Ordering materials and equipment and monitoring inventory
  • Co-ordination of pre-construction processes such as permits, plans, reporting.
  • Documentation and filing of all information
  • Administer the project drawing register as directed by Project Manager
  • Procurement schedule
  • Complete subcontract & supply contracts
  • Undertake vetting meetings with all new subcontractors
  • Obtain signed subcontractor contract & scope of works
  • Ensure all purchase orders are in line with BOQ & budget
  • Review Project Budgets in Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and identify potential cost savings & efficiencies.
  • Manage process for applying for the C of O via Building surveyor
  • Undertake defects walk with client Superintendent & Operations Manager to capture all defect item
  • Send out packages for pricing, following up with subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Working closely with the Project  Manager

About you

  • Proven experience in similar role
  • Computer literate with the efficient use of microsoft office, excel & databuild
  • Strong negotiation and inter-personal skills
  • Efficient time management skills and organisational skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
