Human Resources Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our national Human Resources team. The role has been designed with variety in mind as we know it is important that our HR Administrator gains skills in a broad range of HR functions early in their career.

Your career is very important to us. You will work with experienced HR professionals who are enthusiastic about training and mentoring early career professionals. This role has become available twice in 3 years due to internal transfers and promotions!

This is a fast-paced role and it is essential that you possess exceptional organisation and communication skills and most importantly, the versatility to work across the Recruitment, Human Resource, Learning and Development functions. Working efficiently with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines will ensure your success in this role. As a recent degree qualified graduate, this is an excellent role to launch your HR career and learn the foundational skills necessary for your professional career.

We do not expect you to have gained much experience in HR but any exposure to the key duties below will be highly advantageous together with your high attention to detail, resourceful and “challenge accepted” growth mindset.

Key duties (but not limited to):

Recruitment:

  • Supporting the internal recruitment team.
  • Creating and posting job adverts on internal and external platforms.
  • Proactively liaising directly with candidates, external recruitment agencies and hiring managers as required.
  • Managing CV’s, telephone screening and scheduling both online and face to face interviews
  • Generating and issuing employment contracts.
  • Onboarding new staff and managing the firm’s induction process.
  • Maintaining a recruitment database.
  • Maintaining the recruitment system.
  • Managing the recruitment inbox, assisting with queries, and relaying messages to the relevant team members.
  • Managing the pre-start and onboarding process for new starters.
  • Working closely with other members of the recruitment team, supporting end to end recruitment activities, including candidate relationship management and other related matters.
  • Assist with Recruitment projects as and when required.
  • Human Resources:

  • Being a point of contact for the HR team, including managing incoming queries and the HR inbox.
  • Manage new starter and onboarding processes
  • Preparing HR related letters and contracts for the HR team.
  • Maintaining HR records and databases, including personnel files and absence logs.
  • Assisting the HR team in managing, coordinating, and actioning significant employee dates such as probation and end of contracts.
  • Assisting the HR team in the offboarding processes including arranging exit interviews and coordinating with relevant service departments.
  • Conducting market research and supporting the HR team in ad hoc projects
  • Help action all personnel changes for future and existing employees
  • Assisting with HR project deliverables including the annual performance review, employee benefits program, reward and recognition and annual wellness program.
  • Working closely with the Learning and Development team to administer annual practising certificate renewals, organisation of professional development events and training and management of the Learning Management System.
  • Provide general administrative support to Recruitment, HR and L&D.
  • You will have:

  • HR or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Administration experience (would be an advantage)
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure
  • Sensitivity to confidentiality issues
  • Honesty, discretion, and integrity
  • Advanced Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience using Success Factors is highly desirable.
