Job Description

You will: 

• Provide leadership and high-level specialist advice and options to the Executive Director (Enterprise Portfolio Management Office), Deputy Director-General, Director-General, governance committees and senior management teams about strategic data and digital opportunities and risks to the department• Drive the department’s digital business strategy and build strategic investment and planning practices to enable digital transformation across the department while ensuring alignment with whole-of-government strategies, policies and standards • Work closely with critical stakeholders, both internal and external to the department, to advance the department’s digital agenda and translate business needs into clear technical requirements for delivery by vendors and partners • Deliver a portfolio wide view and focus on, the department’s key digital projects and initiatives; aligning initiatives to strategic priorities; working across the department to resolve conflicting priorities, dependencies, risks and issues; and monitoring and reporting on implementation progress of these in line with departmental and whole-of-government portfolio management practices • Build a team that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes, within a positive work environment Mandatory requirements: It is a mandatory condition of employment to be and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as per the department’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement policy. You may also have • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.
