Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company renowned worldwide for its high quality products and initiative technologies within the yacht and naval ship building industry. This position is a permanent position.

  • Located near Henderson
  • Permanent position
  • Full time hours 
  • $70k – $72k + superannuation

Key responsibilities:

  • Match purchase orders, supplier invoices and physical receipts
  • Verify acceptance documentation to invoice information
  • Investigation and rectification of discrepancies.
  • Liaise with Procurement Department to raise variations
  • Provide invoicing support, including matching purchase orders against appropriate cost or project codes
  • Understand invoice process of detailed review of contractor progress claims
  • Ad-hoc reconciliations of Open Items
  • Support the accounts payable invoice approval & payment process
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, facilitating the flow of essential information between Finance and project delivery teams
  • Provide support to Accounts Payable as required
  • Ad-hoc administration and general accounts-related tasks where required
  • Support new supplier creation process
  • Maintain the technical approvers list for payment approvals
  • Maintain internal process and procedures documents
  • Provide support to the financial audit as required
  • Provide support to the wider Finance team as required
  • Willing to learn and contribute to the development of new processes

  
Experience:

  • Diploma in Accounting (preferable, not essential)
  • Previous Procurement or Accounts Payable experience is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate level demonstrated MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and efficient alpha/numerical data entry skills
  • Accurate efficient alpha/numerical data entry skills
  • Strong organisational skills and great time management
  • Outstanding communication skills and problem solving orientation
  • A lateral thinker with problem solving ability
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but also autonomously when required
