Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting with the opportunity for a strategic Chief Merchandise Officer to join one of Australia’s most noted multi-brand luxury fashion houses.

This role will be responsible for implementing systems and procedures to streamline product forecasting and inventory management; implementing critical path processes for new products; implementing category and product budgets; conducting product research and design, and acting as the primary point of contact for the offshore manufacturing team to maintain a perpetual line of communication about product design updates.

The Chief Merchandise Officer will also be accountable to create the range plans, and reviewing and analysing product margin and product performance.

The talent we seek will also manage the supply chain across the product range; managing the internal flow of product-related communication; develop and manage the product training program and compile quarterly product reports.

The Chief Merchandise Officer will hold an outstanding commercial compass, with the ability to transfer commercial opportunities into the design and development process, while driving for outstanding results.
