About the Role

As the Quality Laboratory Lead, you will have a strong focus on Leadership of the QA/QC function for the Eastern Operations Region, ensuring compliance to laboratory safety and QA/QC systems and processes, management of functional budgets, completion of team goals and the development of team members. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead teams including development of staff and supervision of contractors
  • Manage team budgets and complete team reporting requirements
  • Initiate, plan and develop processes and projects to define and implement quality assurance practices within manufacturing operations in line with organisational policies, standards and guidelines
  • Ensure overall quality control of processes, raw materials and products in line with regulatory and industry standards
  • Lead method development and improvement programs
  • About You

  • Degree in Chemistry or Equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a mineral sands laboratory (desired)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience using XRF and Mass Spectrometry equipment
