The Role You Could Play

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and innovative Events Assistant to support us in delivering the magic that is eventing at MECCA!

As an Events Assistant at MECCA, you’ll be responsible for supporting across all events and the day-to-day points of the events function. You’ll assist on the broad range of events we produce at MECCA and work across the preparation and management of event documentation, managing assets (event infrastructure, product samples, events inventory etc.) and supporting the team across additional activity.

You’ll also have the opportunity to gain experience by end-to-end management of your own smaller events.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Senior Event Manager, Event Manager and Event Specialists in the end-to-end delivery of external-facing MECCA events, experiential, and activations in line with overarching Marketing Campaign and Brand Strategy and achieving all designated KPIs.
  • Work with our suppliers to prepare quotes, project plans, coordinate event infrastructure and deliveries.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance all event documentation including event operations, safety and OH+S documents relevant to each event including but not limited to concept designs, critical paths, site plans, risk assessments, run sheets etc.
  • Assist with internal and external stakeholder management, ensuring that all communications and information is delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to driving innovation and excellence within the Event Team and the delivery of global best-in-class experiences.

    In addition to a passion for beauty and an instinct identifying trends, our ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior events or brand activation experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, team-based environment
  • Outstanding organizational, administration and planning skills with ability to multitask effectively
  • High degree of personal integrity and strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, team-based environment
