ABOUT THE ROLE:

Senior Sous Chef

This recently acquired premium steak house restaurant is the new jewel in the crown of an expanding Hospitality group.

The licensee is looking a Senior Sous Chef who is dependable and experienced:

The Role:

• Efficient communicator’s required to follow and raise standards throughout the team to assist in driving revenue towards the food aspect.
• Great work/life balance with no expectation to work unreasonable hours.
• 45 hours rostered weekly with additional overtime paid.
• Single shifts only – No double shifts
• Experienced and confident at training junior chefs to a level of excellence.
• Accountable for recruitment, training any additional chefs for the team.
• Friendly and professional personnel management, goal setting and development.
• Experience with fresh and new daily specials and a clear communicator to the kitchen and floor team.
• The Sous chefs will be required to oversee and supervise kitchen staff and Assist with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies, ensuring that food is at the very highest quality and that the kitchen is kept in immaculate condition.

You:

• Are dynamic, proactive team leader
• Have solid knowledge and passion for modern Australian cuisine in particular butchery and high quality meats.
• Have minimum 1 year in similar management role
• Are a confidant Chef able to execute operations efficiently and to a high standard.
• Are experienced and capable in operational processes including stock inventory, COGS & rostering.
• Are competent in problem solving & your teams training and development
• Having experience in fast paced volume at high standards is advantageous.
• Background in setting great standards and gaining the best from your team through patient training and guidance.
