RSPCA Queensland is a non-government, community-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of domestic, farmed, and native animals in Queensland. Our mission statement is simple but powerful: Together We Change Lives.

About the role

This position requires a hands-on approach to all aspects of the café operation.  You will be responsible for front of house preparation, barista duties, prepping, service, short order cooking and point of sale operation.

• Providing a range of food provisions

• Café menu – daily breakfast, lunch and savoury preparation
• Seminars and conferences catering
• Functions and events catering.

RSPCA pays special attention to our unique needs using humane food choices catering to dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum two years’ experience working within a similar role
• Flexibility is a must for this role, you will need to be available to work weekdays and regular weekend shifts
• Have a passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Work well within a small team and environment.

This is a part-time, permanent position, working 20 hours per week. Shifts may be rostered between Monday – Sunday, 7am and 4:30pm.  Remuneration is as per the Restaurant Industry Award.
