About the Role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll be required to provide management support to the Aveo Springfield community in Springfield Lakes, QLD; to create a welcoming, caring and safe environment for the residents.  

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community and the effective management in accordance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. You’ll provide support to the Regional Operations Manager in developing, implementing, and reinforcing policies, processes and practices that strive for continual improvement.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To assist residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy, choice and quality of life & maintain effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families
  • Co-ordination of all community operations, this includes establishing and managing on-call systems / processes
  • Manage community budget within approved guidelines
  • Ensure correct implementation of and ongoing compliance with all policies and procedures (including ensuring correct administrative processes are in place and followed)
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Act in accordance with all relevant external legislation & internal policies and procedures that relate to this position and the organisation
  • Staff management including orientation, inductions, performance reviews ect.

You’ll have the following attributes:

  • Prior experience in residential or community aged care
  • Hold or willing to obtain a current police check
  • Management qualification or working towards same (desired)
  • Body Corporate experience is an advantage (not essential)
  • Staff management skills & a passion for helping people develop their capability and fulfil their potential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and care delivery software.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents’ and their families
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise to achieve KPI’s;
  • Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
