Position

The position of Freight Investigator is now available. The position is responsible for all enquiries with both customers and carriers.

You will carry out the below:

  • Investigating issues regarding missing, damaged or delayed freight
  • Coordinating local, interstate and international pick-ups and bookings with customers
  • Organising bulk trucks for interstate freight
  • Generating consignment paperwork for customers
  • Assisting customers in determining the best carrier for any given situation
  • Lodging enquiries, bookings and providing quotes
  • Assisting with inbound calls when needed

The role is part of a customer service team based in Mascot, Sydney that service clients nationally as the first point of contact for all customers and therefore is an integral team within the business.

Candidate

To be considered for the position all candidates must have the below experience and skills:

  • Prior experience working in a customer service-based role within the transport industry is necessary
  • Must be skilled and experienced in using typical Microsoft applications, word, excel, etc
  • Available for full time employment with standard Monday to Friday office hours
  • You must be a team player with the ability to work cohesively with others
  • Have a great attitude, with a friendly and warm demeanour with customers
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
