The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Administrative Officer to join our Education & Training Department. 

The Administrative Officer will be part of our small but efficient CPD team responsible for coordinating and undertaking the provision of all administrative services in relation to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including meeting support for the Committee for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) and the CPD program.

This position will provide administrative services and support for the RANZCP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, with a specific focus on the support of the Committee for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) and its subcommittees/working groups.

This role has a specific focus to:

  • Provide timely, clear and accurate advice on all aspects of RANZCP CPD to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support regular reviews and redrafting of program documentation including policies and procedures relevant to Standard Operating Procedures and quality improvement processes.
  • Support the regular review and redrafting of CPD support materials such as the CPD Program Guide and associated forms.
  • Administer and support the annual audit of CPD records and conduct follow-up of members for compliance purposes.
  • Support any CPD related projects and any other activities as required in the CPD program.
  • Maintain accurate CPD program systems, ensuring the membership databases are up to date, and prepare reports on CPD activities as required.
  • Provide support to members with their CPD enquiries via the CPD Help Desk.
  • Event management, as required, for CPD activities including committee meetings both in person and online.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in administration or education are required.
  • Experience in an education setting with experience in CPD programs will be an advantage.
  • Experience with committee support including preparation of agendas, minutes and follow-up of action items such as the drafting of correspondence.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team and contribute to the team environment and objectives, carry out duties autonomously, and ability to escalate issues as identified for problem resolution.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to plan, set priorities and meet deadlines with the flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands.
