HOBAN Recruitment are currently sourcing multiple experienced Content Writers to assist as Guidance Officer to work with our client who is an independent statutory agency, responsible for supporting thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

The Guidance Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position. You will be required to undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident.

The Guidance Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Researching, drafting and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards.
  • Interpreting the policy and legislative environment the branch operates in, including understanding and translating the NDIS Act and NDIS Rules into Our Guidelines.
  • Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback.
  • Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
  • Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch.
  • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.

  • Satisfactory level of technical, functional, and professional skill
  • Can maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes
  • Previous experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have an understanding in legislations, policies, and procedures
  • Procurement and contract management experience
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
