Coordinator Field Services, Clerk Grade 7/8 – Rhodes 

  • Lead a dynamic and flexible team of ICT Field Officers to deliver high quality ICT services to volunteer Units and our Zones
  • Join in a volunteer-based agency supporting communities of NSW
  • Full time, ongoing role at Rhodes 
  • Salary up to $112,849, plus a 15% field allowance, super and leave loading 
  • Flexible working arrangements including hybrid working 
  • About the opportunity
    It is an exciting time to join the NSW SES as we commence the significant growth of our agency in supporting key programs of work to enhance the agency’s response to emergencies. Some programs of work include enhancing our operational capability and response including fleet and vessel projects, flood rescue training and capability, increasing our workforce and volunteer membership, standing up to two new Zones in Western and Northern parts of NSW and upgrading our facilities to support Level 3 Incident Management Teams.

    This newly created role will support the establishment of the new Zones in North Eastern and North Western including the delivery and support of high quality ICT services to customers located in the Zones and Units through incident diagnosis and resolution of complex issues, together with deployment of the NSW SES’ standardised infrastructure, hardware, and systems. The role will manage a high performing team and act to ensure excellent customer service and continuous service improvement is achieved. 

    As these roles will visit Zones and Units across the State, at times, there can be travel involved and at times, work outside of standard business hours. 

    About you
    To be successful in this role you will:

  • be a highly motivated individual with excellent communications skills 
  • have experience in managing a team in the delivery of IT support 
  • be able to effectively coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines and plan and prioritise your workload
  • have a focus on people and enjoy building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • have a good knowledge and experience of ICT technologies and services. 
  • maintain accurate record data for timely reporting
