Remuneration: $75,115 – $101,944 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

SensiLab in the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University is a dynamic, interdisciplinary research space established to address contemporary research challenges at the nexus of culture and technology. SensiLab undertakes state-of-the-art research in generative design, creative Artificial Intelligence, digital music and performance, and programmable matter. Combining emerging and state-of-the-art technologies with creative vision, SensiLab imagines and builds future technologies and seeks to inspire the next generation of interdisciplinary researchers through creative practice.

The Opportunity

SensiLab is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Research Fellow. In this role, you will work with a team of experts in biosemiotics, cybernetics, and metamodernism to explore the intersection of these disciplines and develop innovative research projects.

The Research Fellow will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading scholars in the field, conduct cutting-edge research, and contribute to the development of new theories and models. You will also have the opportunity to publish your research in top-tier academic journals and present your findings at conferences and other professional events.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral qualification in the relevant field, as well as excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. The Research Fellow should also have demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation skills, including a track record of refereed research publications as well as experience with the design, development and production of design prototypes, media artworks or creative works.
