As a Senior Environmental Scientist / Engineer in the Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Section, you will take an active role in leading the delivery of projects. This will include technical guidance for more junior staff in supporting the successful execution of field sampling programs and contamination assessment report writing. You will seek to provide mentoring to more junior staff in relation to the broad skills required of a consultant, both technical and softer skills. You will take an active role in business development, responsible for building client relationships that secure repeat work and new work that supports your own personal pipeline as well as that of others in the team.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

This role will be based in the Melbourne office, supporting Victorian and ANZ wide projects. More specifically, this role will include the following tasks that will be performed with support from other members of the team as appropriate:

• Planning and execution of moderately complex projects. You will provide technical guidance to support others on such projects. You may also perform project management and client-facing roles where appropriate. You will be supported by senior technical and project delivery leaders and you will support more junior members of the team.

• You will have good knowledge of the regulatory framework and technical elements of the contaminated land sector within your State or Territory, and a familiarity with the corresponding elements in other regions.

• You will lead simple and moderately complex pursuits as appropriate and provide support as a bid team member for the pursuit of more complex opportunities.

• You will collaborate with other Sections to help deliver successful project outcomes for our clients and you will support the broader section by providing informal leadership.
