Job Description

Super Gardens is Victoria’s longest standing Commercial Landscape Construction, Gardens and Grounds Maintenance and Sports Turf Management business’ servicing a diverse range of clients for the last 33 years.   
   
Due to internal movement and gaining new contracts, we have full-time  opportunities now available for hands-on Qualified Gardener’s to join our team at Essendon Fields.

Experience in a similar role is essential, as your responsibilities will include:

  • Garden services including: pruning, weeding, leaf and rubbish removal;
  • Identification and treatment of weeds, pests and diseases in both plants and turf;
  • Planting, feeding and fertilisation of plants and turf assets;
  • Assist with minor landscape upgrades;
  • Assist with the day to day running of the irrigation systems including the reporting of faults and repairs to the system;
  • Maintain professional relationship with Super Gardens staff and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Cert III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens;
  • Strong horticultural background in lawn and gardening maintenance;
  • A manual drivers licence is preferred;
  • Chemical Users licence (ACUP) is preferred; and
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems is preferred.

To be successful you will show a genuine passion for gardening, initiative and leadership skills, mentoring our apprentices and other grounds team members. If you are proactive, with a can do attitude and a strong horticulture background then we would like to hear from you!
