Solution Architect Data And Analytics

An opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect – Data and Analytics with large scale experience in driving business outcomes and coordinating across multiple platforms and cross-functional teams to deliver data driven solutions to join the Innovation, Marketing & Technology team in Sydney. This is a Permanent position.

The Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for driving the delivery and management of the Data Innovation platform and new technology solutions, with a key focus on AWS Lakehouse Architecture that enable business growth and support customer outcomes. You will be responsible for driving, developing, and maintaining the data and analytics applications architectural direction, road maps and methodologies. Proven expertise in technical aspects of AWS Data Lakes and Analytics services. Identify and proactively manage risk areas, and commit to seeing issues through to complete resolution, by working across the teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and own the solution architecture for the Data and Analytics platform and contribute to the technical architecture for solutions spanning a multidisciplinary team.
• Responsible for Solution Assurance with a focus on the end-to-end solution architecture and facilitation of a team data engineers, fellow architects, business stakeholders and IT workstream leads to drive resolution of project design issues.
• Representation and participation in the Stockland Architecture Review Forum and other cross portfolio solution forums.
• Drive the Data Innovation Platform development, delivery, and maintenance for Stockland to provide the foundation for the improvement of sales, increase of occupancy, enhancement of customer engagement, and additional strategic insights.
• Partner with the Data Insights and Analytics team to support data led initiatives, leveraging new analytics services and establishing new patterns which drive business value
• Identify opportunities for Stockland to leverage scale and take advantage of new industry practices.
• Apply strong commercial and business case disciplines in the identification and development of technology improvements that support the business strategy.
• Performing architecture reviews, according to agreed plans, and assessing the degree of compliance with architecture and organisational standards
• Provide critical analysis, advice and leadership to the Innovation, Marketing and Technology leadership team on Data and Analytics solution options and developments, translating the implications and opportunities for Stockland to drive competitive advantage.
• Develop and present proposals for digital and new technology initiatives, in close collaboration with relevant business and IT stakeholders and with a commercial perspective.
• Develop internal capabilities and external partnerships that enable the delivery of technology for innovation experiments and pilots.
• Lead in a way that supports the Stockland Values and build a culture of agility and customer centricity, both internal and external.
• Collaborate with the Technology leadership to implement and scale the innovation experiments that prove to be successful.
• Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and partners and become a leading trusted advisor in the Data and Analytics space.
• Communicate clearly on the achievements, issues and learnings from technology and innovation initiatives.

The ideal candidate

• Degree in Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years’ experience in all aspects of Solution architecture at a senior level with a strong focus on Data and Analytics platforms
• Demonstrated architecture and technical team leadership skills, achieving outcomes through influence
• Experience leading initiatives on agile environments, and delivery teams to deliver outcomes in Stockland’s AWS Analytics and Data Lake infrastructure
• Mentoring and building technical teams’ capability
• Delivery experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools  
• Understanding of other cloud services and infrastructure, such as SAP S/4 HANA, Salesforce, ServiceNow
• Experience in partnering successfully with external technology organisations
• Demonstrated strong ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Ability to understand new technologies and communicate their concepts and relevance in business terms to business stakeholders, and technical terms to technology stakeholders
• Previous experience in an SAP S/4 HANA environment is highly valued.
