Our client is seeking an experienced retailer who has a passion for homewares and bedding. As the Assistant Manager you will support the Store Manager to lead the team, achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service. This role is suited to someone who loves working in a fast paced environment.

This position would be best suited to a true retailer who is used to high volumes of stock, a fast paced environment and someone who will give their all in the area of customer service.

Their beautiful products are multi faceted and bring with them the importance of quality and a passion for art and beauty in the home. Their style and prints purposely encompass Australian art and culture and our Client is very proud of their foundations.

As the Assistant Manager you will be responsible for…

  • Mentoring and inspiring an equally passionate team of retailers
  • Drive your team to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
  • Manage store operations including visual merchandising, stock control, recruitment, roster management and the development and training of your team
  • Set an example in the area of team culture and morale
  • Be a leader in the area of customer service by providing every customer with a unique and positive interaction
  • Keep yourself up to date with current interior design and homewares trends

What we are looking for…

  • A strong yet natural communicator and someone who is a leader in all areas
  • Someone from similar retail management position, preferably from a fast paced, high stock volume environment
  • A manager who excels at providing real and honest customer service – your customers love your styling advice
  • Someone who is a true motivator, with a positive outlook on life that can face any challenging situation with a smile
  • Some who has a passion for homewares and interiors
