The Role

As part of our national Talent team the HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering on our talent strategy throughout the employee lifecycle, delivering the full range of HR advisory, consultative and operational services with particular emphasis on performance, remuneration & benefits, engagement and retention strategies including coaching leaders and talent program delivery. This role will also be responsible for managing the clerk and graduate program for the Adelaide office, with support from the national firm.
An exciting opportunity exists for a HR generalist seeking to grow their career in a high performing environment. In this role, you will be collaborating with our national Talent team whilst working alongside an experienced HR Manager.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Partner with business leaders to provide operational advice on all people matters
• Elevate awareness, support and engagement of key strategic Talent initiatives, programs and projects
• Deliver innovative, effective and commercial solutions whilst building trusted relationships across the firm
• Contribute to career development and performance discussions
• Be involved with cyclical HR activities such as performance and reward; promotions and development; and talent and succession planning
• Develop and deliver engagement and retention strategies
• Manage the clerk and graduate program for the Adelaide office

More About You

We welcome applications from professionals who possess:
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline with knowledge of current employment legislation
• 2-4 years’ experience as a HR generalist or an in-house recruiter with a business partnering focus
• Flexibility to respond to changing priorities with a ‘can do’ attitude and a hands-on approach within an ever changing business environment
• Ability to sensitively, confidentially and fairly manage people issues and have solid knowledge of the legal parameters of the employment relationship
• Proven experience in coaching and influencing leaders on people issues (performance, mental health, investigations, conflict resolution etc.) that are both best practice and commercially astute
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a professional services environment highly desirable but not essential
• Experience managing WHS issues, e.g. return to work, desirable but not essential
