Your new role

Assisting the Laboratory Supervisor with the day to day operation of the Laboratory to ensure regulatory reporting of plant operations are actioned and supported.

Communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, providing efficient and accurate analytical test results for all analysis within the laboratory

Ensure laboratory quality control assignments are met performing independent quality control calibrations in accordance with NATA’s or IANZ’ FAD requirements

Gaining and maintaining approval as a signatory for all inorganic NATA or IANZ accredited tests, and supporting OHS requirements within the laboratory.

Skills and experience

To be successful for the position you will require the following:

Thorough understanding and prior knowledge of international testing procedures and Industry Standard laboratory practices

Pollution Legislation, Waste Classifications

Common laboratory interferences for organic and inorganic testing, and specific ISO17025 accreditation and calibration requirements.

You will also be adept in OHS & S practices and principles, with a Bachelor of Science degree or related Chemistry qualification.
