About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising one (1) part-time, VPSG-2 position within Southern Metro Region, Division Three. As the successful applicant, your primary role will be providing administrative support within an existing team as an Administrative/Property Officer. Initial duties will be at Cranbourne Police Station.

Your duties will include:

  • Perform a variety of computerised administrative tasks.
  • Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice as required.
  • Receive, record, and distribute mail and correspondence.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as required.
  • If required, undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x ongoing, part-time position available (0.4 FTE/ 30.4hrs per fortnight).
  • $56,271 – $72,262 plus superannuation pro-rata (0.4 FTE/ 30.4hrs per fortnight) estimated salary $22,508 per annum.
  • This position is located at the Cranbourne Police Complex, 168 Sladen St, Cranbourne, VIC, 3977.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer’s Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
