Destination/ Roadmap

Great River City Light Rail (GRCLR) consortium has been engaged by Transport for NSW to deliver the Supply, Operate and Maintain (SOM) contract for Parramatta Light Rail (PLR) Stage 1. GRCLR is a joint venture of Transdev Australasia Pty Ltd (70%) and CAF Rail Australia Pty Ltd (30%).

The Operational Recruitment and Training Junior Manager is a newly created role and will be responsible for undertaking and supporting the recruitment and training of the GRCLR Operational Workforce for Day 1 through Testing & Commissioning and Operational, manufacture, completions, testing and commissioning and operational readiness. This role reports to the Operational Readiness Manager.

Missions

The Recruitment and Training Junior Manager will manage and engage external stakeholders to promote diversity and equality in the GRCLR workforce through the compliance and establishment of Human Resources processes and Key Performance Indicators.

Main accountabilities are as follows:

·Support the recruitment and training of the operational workforce.

·Support the Driver Mobilisation Working Groups and Workstream

·Actively engage external stakeholders, associations, and the local community to promote diversity and inclusion.

·Monitor recruitment compliance with operational contract requirements.

·Contribute to operational readiness activities.

·Monitor and report on progress and key operational issues, and escalate key issues

·Communicate with key stakeholders

·Participate in governance and other project meetings representing SOM and GRCLR interests.

·Work with the project delivery teams to escalate and resolve issues.

·Contribute to assessment of operational cost impacts due to various changes by stakeholders.

·Contribute to and review Delivery Phase Project Plans

·Lead and contribute to internal and external GRCLR Working Groups

·Any other duties appropriate to project delivery as may from time to time be required.

Required Education and Experience

·Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Sociology, Project Management, or a related field of study

·2 years minimum experience in the Public Transportation Industry or related industry.

Skills

·Good command of MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel

·Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and contractors.

·Demonstrated ability to effectively represent, influence and interact productively with project stakeholders.

·Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to deliver to tight timescales

·Previous experience in bringing into service of a light rail or heavy rail line or extension (desirable)

·High level conceptual, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

·High level oral and written communication and presentation skills

·High level interpersonal skills including consultation, facilitation and negotiation skills

·Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders
