We are seeking deadly, dedicated and self-motivated Aboriginal university students (in their 2nd year or beyond) who are currently completing tertiary studies in Nursing, Midwifery or Allied Health, to join our 2022 Aboriginal Cadetship Program.

A cadetship provides students with the opportunity to earn an income during placement and gain valuable work experience. We’re after motivated university students who are interested in improving their job prospects and discovering a future career in health.

Cadets are required to complete a total of 320 hours to be worked over 40 eight hour shifts (or alternative negotiated hours). Accommodation assistance may be provided.

Am I eligible for a cadetship?

To be considered for this cadetship, you must:

  • Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course at a recognised university; and successfully progressed beyond the first year of the degree

  • Maintained a pass grade in all subjects

  • Able to commit to 320 total placement hours

  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
